Official Rules - Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest
NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS CONTEST.
TERM: The Contest will run through December 10, 2007, 12 a.m. Central Standard Time.
PRIZES: There will be one grand prize of an iPod touch awarded based on a random draw from all entrants who have filled in all the required fields on the entry form at http://plannedlegacy.com/ipodtouch_contest/donorrecognitioncontest.html.
All entrants who have filled in all the required fields will also receive a copy of the final document featuring suggestions and ideas that worked for other non-profit organizations with regards to donor recognition, stewardship, donor wall planning etc.
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning will be determined by the number of entries received.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST:
a) Original Entry. If you signed up for the contest on the Planned Legacy Web site you are automatically entered into the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest. You agree ("opt-in") to receive occasional e-mails regarding this contest, the Planned Legacy Community Ties Non-profit Newsletter and/or trade show appearances.
AND/OR
(b) Referrals. You will automatically receive an additional entry into the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest each time you use the referral form on the contest page to provide an e-mail address and contact information for a person who also enters the contest and completes all the required fields.
Planned Legacy is not responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects in part or whole, delays in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for any technical or non-technical network, telephonic, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate or partial transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Planned Legacy on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any Web site or any combination thereof.
Planned Legacy is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest, or for e-mail entries that are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, altered, illegible or postage-due. All entries become the property of Planned Legacy and will not be returned. Planned Legacy reserves the right to cancel temporarily or permanently the electronic method of Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest entries if it becomes technically corrupted.
DISQUALIFICATION:
All of your entries in this and all other contests sponsored by Planned Legacy in the past, present, or future, will be automatically disqualified without notice or recourse if you promote the contest through unsolicited commercial e-mail, multiple repetitive postings to news groups, blogs etc. or even one posting to inappropriate groups or list any other violation that goes against general acceptable use policies.
All of your entries will be disqualified, at the sole discretion of Planned Legacy, if you attempt (i) to enter the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest through any means other than as described in these Official Rules; or (ii) to disrupt the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest, circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, or in any way tamper with the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest. If either of the above occurs, Planned Legacy has the right to remedy any such action, disruption, or circumvention, and to seek damages from you to the fullest extent permitted by law.
ELIGIBILITY:
All legal Canadian and U.S. residents residing in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years or older at the closing date of the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest may participate in this Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest. By entering this Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest you represent to Planned Legacy that you are either at least 18 years of age. Employees of Planned Legacy and its immediate families and members of their households are not eligible to participate in this Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest. By registering to win the prize, the winner grants Planned Legacy permission to use his/her name (including screen name) and likeness for advertising and future promotion purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). Unaccepted prizes may not be awarded. This Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest is subject to these complete and Official Rules.
SELECTION OF WINNERS:
Winners will be selected in an electronically randomized manner on the afternoon of December 12, 2007 for the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest. The winner will be notified at the day of the drawing, and has 48 hours to contact Planned Legacy regarding their prize. Planned Legacy reserves the right to modify scheduling of the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest without prior notice.
If the judges determine in their sole discretion that there is any suspected or actual electronic tampering with the giveaway or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the giveaway, the judges reserve the right to void the entries at issue, and/or terminate the giveaway and conduct a random drawing to award prizes using all eligible entries received as of the termination date.
Planned Legacy may require winners to provide proof that they are the authorized account holders of the e-mail addresses used to enter the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet service provider, online service provider, or organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address. Any winner who does not comply with the Official Rules will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. Return of any prize or prize notification as "undeliverable" will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
NOTIFICATION:
Prizewinners will be notified by e-mail sent to the e-mail address on the Planned Legacy account, and Planned Legacy is under no obligation to notify winners by any means other than e-mail. If a winner's Planned Legacy profile is no longer active, notification will be sent to the last known e-mail address. Planned Legacy is not responsible for notifications that are misdirected or not received because of e-mail addresses that are no longer correct. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been made during one (1) business day from the first notification attempt, such person may be disqualified, with an alternate winner selected. Any prize notification or prize returned as undeliverable will result in the awarding of that prize to an alternate winner.
REDEMPTION:
Planned Legacy will deliver the prizes as to the appropriate winner's home or business address. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitutions or cash equivalents are allowed except by Planned Legacy, who also reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable.
CONDITIONS:
By participating in the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest, you agree to release and hold Planned Legacy and its directors, officers, employees and agents, and all prize suppliers harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest or any product purchased, or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, whether suffered by you or a third party.
This Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Planned Legacy and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest or these Official Rules. All decisions regarding the Planned Legacy Donor Recognition Contest, including, but not limited to, selecting winners, will be made by Planned Legacy, whose decisions shall be final. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, provincial and local taxes.

We collect personal information on this site. The only e-mails we ever send out are for our upcoming trade show appearances, occasional new product announcements and our quarterly Community Ties Non-Profit Newsletter, featuring informative articles and interviews with non-profit professionals. We have an extremely low unsubscribe rate. We do not sell or give your e-mail to anyone and we don’t send out marketing spam. We’re here for the long term.
